A junior subjective synonym of Myelois stibiella Snellen, 1872; synonymized by G. Leraut (2019c: 102). Had been synonymized with Canthelea oegnusalis (Walker, 1859) by R.-U. Roesler & P. V. Küppers (1981: 108).
