Taxonomic note:

A primary homonym of Euproctis variegata Moore, 1879; the objective replacement name is Nygmia kenricki Swinhoe, 1923. A junior subjective synonym of Dasychira phaeosericea Mabille, 1884; synonymized by C. L. Collenette (1931b: 512).
