TYPE SPECIMEN(S) Lectotype ♂, designated by Maes (1996b: 1409); 1 Paralectotype, abdomen missing (see Maes 1996b: 1409), BMNH [in the original description 3 syntypes are mentioned, of which only 2 could be retrieved, see Maes (1996b: 1409)].
STATUS Species
COMMENTGhesquière (1942a: 131, 184) erroneously designated a ♂ lectotype, a specimen which does not bear a Meyrick label (see Maes 1996b: 1409). The third syntype, a female, was described by Ghesquière as Pilocrocis phaeocoryla (Ghesquière 1942a: 130–131).
