COMMENTHad been synonymized with Polyptychopsis marshalli marshalli by Bridges (1993: 20); reinstated as a subspecies of Polyptychopsis marshalli by Kitching & Cadiou (2000: 62); raised to species status and retransferred to Polyptychus by Pierre (2014: 225).
