COMMENTHad been synonymized with Hypena conscitalis Walker, 1866 by R. W. Poole (1989) and by M. Lödl (1994), but see H. Hacker, H.-P. Schreier & E. Aistleitner (2010: 16). Transferred to subgenus Trichypena by H. Hacker (2021: 129).
