Mainly in the seeds and fruits. A serious agricultural pest, recorded mostly from the tropical and subtropical zones of the Ethiopian Region (see L. A. Gozmány & L. Vári 1973: 11). In a gall induced by Ravenelia macowaniana (see M. A. McGeoch 1993: 53, M. Krüger 1998c: 58).
