Taxonomic note:

L. A. Gozmány (1967c: 55) synonymized Hapsifera heptazona Meyrick with the present species, but see L. A. Gozmány & L. Vári (1973: 77). Misidentified as Tinea erinacea Walker by J. Ghesquière (1940: no. 51).
