Taxonomic note:

Transferred to Aethalopteryx by R. V. Yakovlev (2011). Had been synonymized with Xyleutes tristis Gaede, 1915 by W. Mey (2016: 166); regarded as a separate species by R. V. Yakovlev et al. (2019: 449).
