Had been synonymized with Epicrocis festivella Zeller, 1848 by R.-U. Roesler & Küppers (1979: 129). Retrieved from synonymy as bona species and transferred to Tephris by G. Leraut (2019c: 99). Returned to Epicrocis as a synonym of Epicrocis festivella by G. Leraut (2021: 168).
