Taxonomic note:

J. Ghesquière (1942a: 131, 184) erroneously designated a ♂ lectotype, a specimen which does not bear a Meyrick label (see K. V. N. Maes 1996b: 1409). The third syntype, a female, was described by Ghesquière as Pilocrocis phaeocoryla (Ghesquière 1942a: 130–131).
