Taxonomic note:

A junior subjective synonym of Tavia ? vacillans Walker, 1858; synonymized by M. Gaede (1939: 280, as vaccillans). Misplaced by R. W. Poole (1989: 447) as a valid species in Falcimala Hampson, 1895 (Herminiinae). Reconfirmed as a synonym of Tavia vacillans Walker, 1858 by A. Zilli & G. M. László (2022: 5).
