Taxonomic note:

A junior subjective synonym of Arsina silenalis Guenée, 1862; synonymized by P. Viette (1990a: 23, 225). Does not belong to Hypena, systematic position unclear but should be transferred to Ophiderinae (see Lödl 1994h: 577).
