Distribution note:

The records of DR Congo (Kiriakoff 1954e: 54), Madagascar (Berio 1956b: 126, Paulian & Viette 1956: 220), South Africa (Janse 1937–1939: 358), Uganda and Zimbabwe (Hampson 1910d: 318) are misidentifications of other Acrapex species (see D. S. Fletcher 1961: 216) and B. Le Ru et al. (2020a: 50).
