Records of Cape Verde (Traub & Bauer 1982: 227, Nylström 1958: 25), Congo (Rebel 1914a: 282), Ethiopa (Hampson, 1910e: 754, Berio 1944: 78), Ghana (Hampson, 1910e: 754), Kenya (Le Cerf 1922c: 417), La Réunion (Martiré & Rochat 2008: 435), Madagascar (Berio 1954g: 152), Niger (Rothschild 1921a: 164), Nigeria (Hampson 1910e: 754), Saudi Arabia (Wiltshire 1985a: 401), Seychelles (Fletcher 1910a: 280), Somalia (Poulton 1916: 123, Berio 1938b: 193), Tanzania (Berio 1956d: 84), Yemen (Hacker et al. 1999: 278) are misidentifications of other Acontia species (see H. Hacker et al. 2022: 184).
