Taxonomic note:

Leucania tacuna Felder & Rogenhofer, 1874 sensu G. F. Hampson is a complex of different species: Borolia bipunctata Strand, 1917; Borolia bisetulata Berio, 1940; Leucania melianoides Möschler, 1883; Mythimna pseudotacuna Berio, 1962, and Leucania substituta Wallengren, 1875.
