Palaearctic: Azores, Canary Islands, Europe, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Lebanon, Morocco, E Russia. Perhaps the specimens in Australia and New Zealand belong to a different species (see discussion in H. Hacker 2016a: 220–221; 2019b: 447).
