Distribution note:

Transferred to Scopula by L. B. Prout (1934, in Strand Lep. Cat. 63: 263). The record of Saint Helena (Ascension Island), as a subspecies of Scopula lactata Walker (probably Scopula lactaria Walker, 1861 is intended), needs confirmation (see G. S. Robinson & C. M. Kirke 1990: 125).
