| Taxon remarks: | Type species: Tinea cerasifoliella Hübner, 1796. Sammlung europäischer Schmetterlinge 8: 70; pl. 28, fig. 190. T. cerasifoliella is currently placed as a junior subjective synonym of Phalaena clerkella Linnaeus, 1758, the type-species of Lyonetia Hübner, 1825. Elachista Kollar, 1832, has been suppressed to conserve the name Elachista Treitschke, 1833. International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature 1989. Bulletin of Zoological Nomenclature 46(3): 206 (Opinion 1557). |
