Restored from synonymy by A. Schintlmeister & T. Witt (2015: 44); had been synonymized with Pheositis excellens Strand, 1912 by S. G. Kiriakoff (1964b: 217). The 3 paralectotypes represent Atrasana postica Walker, 1856.
