Had been transferred to Afrocerura by S. G. Kiriakoff (1963c: 215). Transferred to Cerurina and downgraded to subspecies of Cerurina marshalli (Hampson, 1910) by L. S. J. Mulvaney et al. (2024: 4).

Distribution note:

Cerurina marshalli cameroona (Bethune-Baker, 1927) is distributed more northwardly than the nominotypical subspecies, ranging from Sierra Leone in the west to Ethiopia in the east. See map in L. R. J. Mulvaney et al. (2024: 25).
