Taxonomic note:

Had been synonymized with Pterophorus orchatias Meyrick, 1908 by C. Gielis (2003: 87). Reinstated as a separate species and transferred to Hellinsia by M. Bippus (2020b: 90). Transferred to Picardia and synonymed as a junior subjective synonym with Pterophorus orchatias Meyrick, 1908 without comments by P. Y. Ustjuzhanin et al. (2022c: 14).
