Taxonomic note:

Replacement name for Sura xylocopiformis sensu Le Cerf, 1916. A junior objective synonym of Sura xylocopiformis Walker, 1856; synonymized by D. Bartsch (2008b: 277). However, O. G. Gorbunov & A. V. Ivanonov (2024: 244–245) suspect this species should be removed from synonymy and transferred to the genus Fortikona.
