Grammodes geometrica (Fabricius, 1775) has been recorded from the Afrotropical fauna on many occasions. E. Berio (1956c: 35) has shown that all these records refer to Grammodes bifasciata (Petagna, 1787). Grammodes geometrica is not an Afrotropical species.
