Transferred to Parapsectris by O. V. Bidzilya (2010: 379) and afterwards to Athrips by synonymizing Parapsectris with Athrips (see O. V. Bidzilya et al. 2023: 489). O. V. Bidzilya (2010: 370) mentions a paratype, but E. Meyrick clearly described Epithectis carinata based on 1 specimen only (see E. Meyrick 1911c: 65).
