Plant note:

Poaceae in South Africa, gregarious and very active; they feed at night and hide during the day in holes (see J. S. Taylor 1949: 79). Flimsy, oval cocoon constructed under debris, or in holes in the ground, made from larval hairs woven together with brown silk (J. S. Taylor 1968b: 149).
