Distribution note:

The record of DRCongo (S. G. Kiriakoff 1965b: 7), Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, and Uganda (E. C. G. Pinhey 1975: 164) refer to other species and need clarification. The record of Zimbabwe (G. F. Hampson 1901c: 182) belongs to B. transvaalensis (see A. V. Volynkin 2022: 76).
