Taxonomic note:

Has been synonymized with Teras capensana Walker, 1863 by E. Meyrick (1908: 723); retrieved from synonymy by J. D. Bradley (1965: 88). Transferred to Epichoristodes by J. Razowski & M. Krüger (2013: 217) (see also L. Aarvik 2019: 321).
