One paratype has been identified as Tinea protaxia Meyrick, by Meyrick. Identified as Tinea ademasta Meyrick (partim), Tinea protaxia Meyrick, and Tinea vastella Zeller (partim) by J. Ghesquière (1940a, nos 22, 30, 33).
