Taxonomic note:

Some of the paratypes have been identified as Tinea tragoptila by E. Meyrick. Identified as Tinea ademasta Meyrick (partim), Tinea tragoptila Meyrick, and Tinea vastella Zeller (partim) by J. Ghesquière (1940a: nos 22, 32, 33).
