All Afrotropical records as basalis refer to other species; Angola, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia (D'Abrera 1987: 68); Malawi, Mozambique (Melichar & Řezáč 2013b: 74); S Africa, Mpumalanga (van den Berg, Vermeulen, Braack H. & Braack A. 1975: 21) (see U. Eitschberger & O. Eitschberger 2019: 3).
