Distribution note:

Palaearctic: Algeria, Azores, Canary Islands, Mediterranean regions of Europe, Libya, Madeira, Middle East, Morocco, Near East, Portugal, Spain, Turkey. The record of La Réunion (Giard 1897: 10) is erroneous (see Viette 1957c: 192). Introduced via seeds in south-east Asia and south China (see H. Hacker, H.-P. Schreier & E. Aistleitner 2010: 48).
